Station Displays

Pair a station display and manage it centrally.

B.3 uses managed display authentication. A TV only needs the department /display URL; an administrator compares the matching six-digit code, assigns the station/profile, and approves the browser.

B.3.2.0Department-facing guide

1. Configure the physical station

Administration → Station Displays

Add each physical station, enter its address, map the location, and verify the marker. Station geography is used for route origins and related operational mapping.

2. Open /display on the TV or mini-PC

The canonical B.3 pairing URL is:

Replace agency with the department subdomain. /tv and /pair-display redirect to /display for compatibility.

No code entry is required on the administrator computer. The TV shows a six-digit code and the matching pending request appears automatically under Administration → Station Displays.

3. Compare the six-digit code

Confirm the code shown in Administration matches the TV. A refresh on the TV keeps the same pending request during its valid window instead of generating a new code.

4. Assign the station and display profile

Before approving, configure the display name, assigned station, and presentation preferences.

5. Approve or deny

Select Approve only when the codes match. The paired display activates automatically and opens its assigned station. Select Deny & Remove for an unexpected request.

Unexpected code? Deny it. Pairing denial and revocation are recorded in Analytics & Security → Security Logs.

6. Manage an already paired display

Administrators can change station assignment and display preferences after pairing. The new profile is pushed to the active browser; re-pairing is not required. Revoke & Remove immediately invalidates that display credential.

TV layout behavior

B.3 station displays adapt to the browser's actual visible height, including shorter 720p/TV-browser viewports. Incident, idle, map, and EOC surfaces stay inside the available display region with additional low-height compaction.

Mission-ready display test

Pair every permanent TV/browser using /display.
Verify the assigned station and station route origin.
Verify the selected idle screens and rotation timing.
Verify calendar layout and address-history lookback.
Trigger a valid active incident and confirm takeover.
Change a display preference from Administration and confirm the TV updates without re-pairing.
On a spare/test browser, verify revoke/remove prevents further access.
