B.3 mutual-aid reporting uses CAD agency mappings for automatic aid-given classification, incident-level aid-received selections, Station Display summaries, and automatic report totals.
Configure CAD agencies
Administration → Integrations → CAD Agency / Township MappingEach mapping can include a CAD prefix, agency name, one or more service jurisdictions, state, Report Short Name, and Our Department. StationCommand uses the longest enabled prefix match.
Mark every local-department prefix as Our Department so ordinary home calls are not counted as aid given.
Aid given: automatic from CAD
A mapped external CAD prefix counts as one incident where We Helped Them. A local prefix marked Our Department does not. An unmapped CAD prefix counts as Unknown until corrected. Incidents with no CAD number are not automatically classified as mutual aid.
Incidents excluded from department statistics are also excluded from mutual-aid counts.
Override aid given or record aid received
Administration → Incident Records → Edit Incident → Mutual Aid / Department AssistanceThe Mutual Aid section is collapsed by default. Administrators can override the automatic aid-given result to a configured department, Unknown, or No mutual aid / our department. They can also select one or more departments that helped the local department on that incident.
Station Display Mutual Aid slide
Mutual Aid is available as an idle Station Display rotation screen. It shows We Helped Them and They Helped Us for YTD, Last Month, and This Month using each agency's Report Short Name.
Enable/disable it in a display profile under Administration → Station Displays.
Reports and internal summary
Monthly report mutual-aid counts are populated automatically from incident data. Report-only manual adjustments can still override the displayed report counts without changing incident history.
An authenticated internal summary remains available at /mutual-aid for direct review of current-period totals.
Cross-agency Active911 incidents
B.3.1.6 strengthened cross-agency alert activation. A usable Active911 webhook/list payload can activate immediately even when the individual cross-agency alert-detail endpoint is unavailable. CAD/agency ownership remains useful for mapping/classification/mutual-aid reporting but does not determine whether the alert may be active.
Acceptance test
- Mark all local CAD prefixes as Our Department.
- Verify neighboring agency Report Short Names.
- Verify/refresh service-jurisdiction boundaries.
- Review one local incident and confirm it does not count as aid given.
- Review one neighboring-agency incident and confirm the automatic result.
- Record aid received on a test/historical incident and verify the report/display count.
- Enable the Mutual Aid Station Display slide if the department wants it in rotation.
